Straw blankets are designed for erosion protection

Much like jute netting, straw blankets are used to hold soil in place and promote the growth of new vegetation on all types of slopes. Straw blankets prove effective in retaining moisture and contouring to the soil surface irregularities. It stabilizes surface soil on slopes.
