Jute Netting
Jute is truly a versatile fiber.
Its silky texture, high tensile strength, and resistance to heat and weather give it many applications. Jute netting usually biodegrades within two years. Woven from natural plants, jute netting is the one of the most widely used, dependable, and proven erosion control products since the 60s. It has the mechanical strength necessary to hold soil in place and promote the growth of new vegetation on all types of slopes. Jute netting is effective in retaining moisture and contouring to the soil surface irregularities. It also fertilizes and stablilizes surface soil on slopes.
Smolder-resistant jute (treated jute) is available for use in fire-hazardous environments. This type of jute comes in brown and green.
