Silt Fence
Silt fence is an erosion and sediment control
product used on construction sites to help protect
the environment.
Silt fence is UV-resistant, lightweight, and durable. The uniquely designed fabric acts like a filter, allowing water to pass through while silt and debris remains, keeping roads and highways from choking with mud. In addition, silt fence protects rivers, lakes, and streams from silt build up.
Although the 3' high x 100' long size is the standard for silt fence, a variety of styles and fabrics are available for different applications:
